There is a great opportunity to cross the border (on foot, on the ski or on the bike) and to use the trails in Germany as well. The rolling, woody lanscape offers many breathtaking views that move all nature lovers in any season of the year.
Other sports possibilities and tips for trips:

You can also use the skiing resort buitlt below the watchtower on the hill called Háj nearby the town of Aš. The resort consists of three ski slopes which are especially suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. The resort is aslo the crossroads of numerous hiking paths that are changed into cross-country skiing trails in winter. (www.mestoas.cz)
Last but not least, you may also try the nearby mountain centre Bischofsgrün in Germany, about one hour drive far from us. There is a chair lift, which takes the skiers to the top of 2300 and 1900 m long skiing slopes in about 9 minutes. The skiing slopes are situated on the north and south sides of the second highest hills in north Bavaria. Moreover, there are three more ski tows in Bischofsgrünu. Whenever the weateh is good, you can ski until 22:00 under artificial lighting. (www.bischofsgruen.de)
